ParticipantIf you’re still knocking over corner shops for a few lousy bills, you’re making GTA 5 Story Mode way harder than it needs to be. The real money comes from timing Lester’s hits with the market, and once you get the hang of it, cash stops being a problem. A lot of players even compare it to using GTA 5 Modded Accounts because the jump in wealth feels that dramatic, but this method is built right into the game. One rule matters more than anything else: do the Hotel Assassination when the story makes you, then leave every other Lester mission alone until after The Big Score. That’s the bit most people mess up. If you wait, all three characters can invest tens of millions instead of scraps, and that’s where the numbers get silly.
Start with the Hotel job
For the first assassination, only Franklin can really take advantage of it, but it’s still worth doing properly. Before the mission, put his money into Betta Pharmaceuticals on BAWSAQ. After the mission, don’t rush. Sleep a bit, keep checking the price, and sell when the return is around 50 percent. That’s usually the sweet spot. Right after that, move the money into Bilkington Research on LCN. This part takes longer and some players sell too early. Let the stock sink for a few in-game days, give it another day or two, then cash out when it rebounds. If you time it well, the return can be huge for this stage of the story.Save the biggest swings for the endgame
Once The Big Score is done, that’s when the proper stock market run begins. Start with the Multi-Target Assassination. Buy Debonaire before the mission with all three characters, then sell after the usual spike, often around 80 percent. As soon as you’re out, switch everything into Redwood. This one isn’t instant, and that’s what throws people off. Leave it alone for several in-game days and wait for the recovery. The payoff can be massive if you’ve got patience. After that comes the Vice Assassination. Put your cash into Fruit before the mission and watch it closely after the hit. The rise doesn’t hang around forever, so once you’re near a 50 percent gain, take the money and move. The one mission people get wrong
The Bus Assassination catches loads of players because they invest too early. Don’t. Finish the mission first, then buy Vapid after the price drops. Sit on it for a few in-game days and let the stock climb back. It’s one of the easier rebounds once you know the trick. Then do the Construction Assassination and invest in GoldCoast beforehand. This one is nice and simple compared to the others. Wait around three or four in-game days, check for the peak, and sell once the gain levels out. By this point, if you’ve followed the order and kept your nerve, money isn’t really an issue anymore. Why this method still beats everything else
You can grind races, rob stores, or chase random events if you want, but none of it comes close to what these trades can do when they’re saved for the right moment. That’s why so many longtime players still swear by this route, even with all the other ways people talk about making money. If your goal is to own every car, property, and upgrade without thinking twice, this is the cleanest path, and for players who want a faster shortcut outside the usual grind, checking out GTA 5 Modded Accounts for sale is another option that often comes up in the same conversation about getting rich in Los Santos.
At RSVSR, we’re all about smarter GTA 5 wins, not wasted grind. If you want bigger story mode profits, Lester’s stock plays are where it’s at—especially when you save the best missions for after The Big Score.
